The other day, my aunt was all worried because my little cousin saw some road kill on the way to soccer practice and didn't stop cying for the rest of the afternoon.

I was like, that's retarded. Then my mom pointed out that I, too, used to cry when I saw road kill. And it's true, I'd see a dead squirrel or something and cry for like 3 hours straight.

And there was the time that I was driving and thought I hit a cat and totally fucking flipped out and started hyperventilating and stopped the car in the middle of the road and made my boyfriend of the time get out and check for dead kitty remains. Thankfully, it was a false alarm and the animal was okay which is good because I probably would have never driven again, otherwise.

Do you think some people are just born to be more sensitive than others? Maybe it's genetic. Maybe I have the roadkill-sadness gene.

  1. I'm the biggest animal lover, hell I think I care about animals more then I do some people. But really, I don't really get sad when I hit an animal, because most I believe are 'suicidal'. The biggest things I've hit so far was a raven and a coyote. The Raven sat in the middle of the road wanting to get hit, and the coyote? He totally asked to get it...i swear by it, there are suicidal animals
