I am preparing for my first Amsterdam Canadian Thanksgiving dinner.

There will be no turkey cause I can not prep and stuff a bird, eck.

And I am thinking wistfully of Ontario in the fall.

So many Thanksgivings in the Ottawa Valley, wollen sweaters, fires in the wood stove, crinkled maple leaves streaked ruby and ginger and pumpkin orange.

P.S. The photos were taken with a pink plastic camera, about 18 Thanksgivings ago.
