In Bangladesh, I had no music and it was sad times. I mean I had music with me, but it would have been a shame to listen on my crappy lap top speakers.
So I am thankful to be back in Amsterdam where I can crunk up the bass yayayaya.
Also, a friend just sent me a few albums, two of which are amonsome (the extra special meeting point of amazing and awesome.)
Now, I don't know much about house music, but I am totally digging Cross, the first from a French duo, Justice. Arg, it is so dirt-ay and pop-ay and dance-ay that I was rocking out this morning bad as I was doing my laundry. 'Specially love the track, The Party, which I have already listened to like 12 times.
AND, I bought tickets to see one of my favourite hip hop artists when she comes to Amsterdam next week. A friend changed my life when he told me that my long time love, What What from The Herbaliser, has a solo career as Jean Grae and loaned me 3 albums of hers, all of which are practically perfect.
Listen, there's nothing like knowing yourself
Like the way I know that smoking's kind of broken my health
Like the way I know my flow don't make appropriate wealth
I can't change that
But funny I'm saying that when it's money I'm aimed at
I give a fuck if you frame that or quote it
I meant what I said cause I wrote it, point noted
