Each day, driving to work by rickshaw,we pass by Banani Lake.
A slum surrounds this filthy pond separating the two most posh districts of Dhaka: Banani (where we live) and Gulshan (where we work).
The people who live by the Lake are certainly poor, but I know that they are not the worst off. So far, we have been sheltered from these areas.
