Had to go to the Hague to pick it up. While I waited, I wandered around, had a few coffees, took some pictures.
I also made a few resolutions for my two months in Bangladesh:
- I will be patient, understanding and open-minded
- I will work hard to complete our research goals
- I will try to make a few Bangladeshi friends
- I will try to learn a little Bangla (amar dike takaben na = please stop staring at me)
- I will take pictures everyday
- I will write something everyday
- I will send many many postcards (GIVE ME YOUR ADDRESSES, STAT)
One of these days I'll be able to leave the States and travel and see our world. My goal, in two years, I'll be in Spain. I'd love to be in Cuba in October of this year. It will be the 40th anniversary of Che's death. I get jealous of Europe. So many different cultures and history in such a "small" space. One can easily travel and visit other countries. Here, I feel like I'm stuck. And I have no interest of visiting other states.
