I can't shake the second image below - the bubble-blowing octopus-stomach girl. For some reason, I am deeply affected by it.
It was done by an artist named Aya Takano. She is totally famous in Japan and works on lots of comic books and even writes science fiction, too. The art movement she is a part of is known as Japanese New Pop or Superflat.
This picture is called, Her stomach bulged out.
Her images are so incredibly personal to me that it brings a lump to my throat. The contrast between cute and highly sexual; the hedonistic feast in the third image; the smiling girls with only two eyes between them: they tell secrets that lie beneath an innocent facade.
