Disturbing fact of the day: Hitler, Himmler and Goering were all strict vegetarians.

According to the book, A Bloodless Revolution: A Cultural History of Vegetarianism from 1600 to Modern Times, Himmler wanted the Waffen S.S. to go vegetarian and thought that once Germans had dietetically cleansed themselves they would undoubtedly rule the world.

Further, Goering was known to threaten those who treat animals as 'inanimate property' with the concentration camp.
