So Post-Neolithic

This is Newgrange in Ireland. It was built by Neolithic people as a tomb, and each year, it marks the winter solstice by letting in a ray of light through a carefully engineered opening.

When I saw it, I thought, it's sad that Canada doesn't have any great landmarks like this. But then I thought, hey, if I had a lot of time on my hands, like when I finish my job, I could go around Toronto turning trashcans into Newgrange-esque post-neoliths with the help of some sod and a piece of chalk and it would be totally awesome. Also when people asked me what I was doing, I could be very condescending and all like, our trash is like the dust of our ancestors and the opening to the bin shines light on the past, or some crap like that.

  1. LOL, that's so funny!!

One time in first year, JH and I found a hubcab and drew a face on it and named it Timmy, I think. That was a fun craft.
