Anyway, in an article entitled, "20 Things You Didn't Know About Space Disasters", I learned that the $125 million Mars Climate orbiter crashed on the Red Planet because the Jet Propulsion Laboratory used metric units, while engineers at Lockheed Martin used feet and pounds.

In another article, describing a study published in the British Medical Journal called Sham device v. inert pill: randomized controlled trial of two placebo treatments, I learned that not receiving acupuncture reduces pain more than not taking drugs.

I also learned that cephalopods are really, really cool.
