Brunch

Yesterday my dad and my brother and I went for brunch at my brother's golf club. When we got there, we realized there was a serious dearth of people under the age of 80, and that the ten thousand senior citizens who had decided to show up were all really pushy and crowded around the buffet like it was their last meal.

Anyways, I wasn't very hungry, but still, I thought to myself, I don't want to get old, I want to die at 60.

So I said that to my dad, and he gave me this sideways cut-eye look, and then I remembered that he just turned 60 back in January.

And then I started thinking more about getting old and how I'm going to get lung cancer because I've been smoking for the past nine years (ohmygod - nine years), until I was just generally depressed and wanted a cigarette pretty badly.

But I fought the urge, and instead I had a bunch of little chocolate Easter eggs. SO instead of getting lung cancer, I will be fat. Sigh.
